Barnet Community Counselling is a group of trained counsellors committed to helping people of all ages who live or work in the London Borough of Barnet and surrounding areas. Our service is open to any person, male or female, of any age, sexuality, ethnic origin, culture or religion living or working in the catchment area. Our primary one to one counselling practice is situated in North Finchley (Tally Ho). There are meters in the adjacent roads and also a municipal car-park in Lodge Lane. Alternatively buses 82,125,134, 221, 260 and 263 all come to Tally Ho Corner. Woodside Park and West Finchley Northern Line Underground Stations are both only half a mile away. In addition to our primary location, many of our counsellors also prastice from a variety of additional locations in the Borough such as: Mill Hill, Southgate, Woodside Park, Golders Green, Barnet, Edgware, Finchley, North Finchley, East Finchley, Finchley Central, Whetstone and Muswell Hill. Most of these locations have easy access to public transport. HOW CAN COUNSELLING HELP ME? Counselling is a way of exploring feelings and overcoming emotional difficulties in a safe and confidential setting. A counsellor can help you realise that there may be choices in your life when you previously felt you had none. We are experienced at helping those who are faced with personal problems and who feel unable to cope alone. These issues may include: In each of our lives there are times when we feel overwhelmed by life's difficulties and are unable to cope. Counselling is a way of exploring feelings and overcoming these emotional difficulties in a safe and confidential setting. The service is a voluntary one therefore we do ask our clients to contribute what they can reasonably afford. The cost to the organisation is approximately £25 to £35 per session and the level of contribution made by clients is negotiable according to personal circumstances and income, some clients have contributed as little as £10 per session. |
